Regional Business Survey

Florida’s Great Northwest, in cooperation with local economic development and workforce partners, is coordinating business retention and expansion activities that complement the development of the region’s target industry clusters, provide regional and local data for sound decision-making and supplement local economic development organizations’ retention and expansion efforts.

 The report below summarizes data collected through intensive interviews with the region’s existing businesses. The data collection period ran from June 1, 2008, through August 31, 2009. A comparison of notable differences from the previous year’s data is also included in the report. The analysis was performed by the University of West Florida’s Haas Center for Business Research and Economic Development.
