Fleet Maintenance of North West Florida, Inc.

Fleet Maintenance of North West Florida, Inc., a truck and heavy equipment repair company located in Fort Walton Beach, received $31,500 for training 12 employees. The company will augment the grant funding with an equal investment of its own monies. Fleet Maintenance provides service to two of Florida’s Great Northwest’s target industries: Aerospace and Defense and Transportation and Logistics. Employees will train and receive certifications in business class brakes, HVAC, electrical problem solving, diagnostics and major engine repair from Freightliner and Detroit Diesel. The certifications will increase Fleet Maintenance’s competitiveness for Department of Defense contracts. Fleet plans to offer technicians a 5% raise upon certification.
