Global Business Solutions, Inc. (GBSI), an IT services and technical training provider in Pensacola, will use its $17,456 grant, as well as its own matching contribution, to assist 18 employees with earning additional certifications necessary to win Department of Defense contracts. The company currently provides IT support services for the Naval Education and Training Command/Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center (NETC/NETPDTC) but must meet new certification requirements in information assurance and computing environment to continue its work and expand business. GBSI’s training plan includes courses and certifications in Microsoft Server, Red Hat Certified Technician or Engineer, CompTIA Security+, Project Management Professional, Ghost Solutions Suite and Adobe Professional Suite.
