Technology Coast Manufacturing and Engineering Network (TeCMEN)
Technology Coast Manufacturing and Engineering Network (TeCMEN), a group established by the Economic Development Council of Okaloosa County to support the county’s technology-based business community, received $37,129 to facilitate training for at least 25 workers at TeCMEN’s member companies. The grant will be complemented with an investment of $37,420 from TeCMEN and its training partners. After conducting a training needs assessment of its members, TeCMEN, in partnership with the University of West Florida, developed a two-part training program which includes Project Management for Engineering and Technical Employees and Supervisory Skills for Technical Supervisors. Member companies participating in the training include InDyne, Alpha Data Corporation, General Dynamics, Fort Walton Machining, GSC Systems, Inc., COLSA Corporation, Innoventor, L3 Communications/Crestview Aerospace, TSL, Advanced Concepts Enterprises, Inc. and J&P Khamken.
