MARIANNA, FLORIDA (October 5, 2021) - Proud Source Water, a natural alkaline spring water bottled at the source, announced the opening of a second spring location and production facility in Marianna, Florida. Construction of the facility is complete, and it will begin production in late 2021.
The new spring source is naturally filtered by the limestone rock caverns commonly found in the Apalachicola Forest region. The spring water contains naturally occurring minerals and electrolytes that give it a smooth, refreshing taste.
Proud Source strives to be the most transparent bottled water company in the world when it comes to sourcing, sustainability, and overall impact. The expansion from one to two production facilities will quadruple Proud Source Water’s annual production capacity and immediately allow Proud Source to ship to 96% of customers within a 1,200-mile radius of each production facility, lowering their carbon footprint and driving sustainable progress within the organization.
Proud Source Water has committed to the following:
1. To operate all production facilities with 100% renewable energy, including the use of solar power.
2. To use systems that minimize carbon footprint and promote zero water loss during bottling.
3. To never source more than 5% of the daily water output from our spring sources.
Proud Source was founded with the goal of uplifting small-town communities through local opportunities surrounding a natural alkaline spring water source. The company started in 2016 in Mackay, Idaho where operations continue today.
Proud Source Water is a certified B-corporation that bottles natural alkaline spring water in 100% recyclable aluminum. Proud Source Water is sourced from natural springs in the Rocky Mountains of Idaho and the Apalachicola Forest of Florida, a natural pH of 8.1+/- with no additives. Proud Source Water is sustainably produced in Mackay, Idaho and Marianna, Florida. The company’s HQ is based in Boise, Idaho. For more information, visit www.proudsourcewater.com
