Escambia County

Home to Naval Air Station Pensacola, the Blue Angels, Port of Pensacola and America’s first European settlement, Escambia County has a large population of military retirees and educational and training institutions including the University of West Florida and Pensacola State College. The City of Pensacola and Escambia County offers new and expanding businesses a free, weekly one-stop development review meeting.

Navy Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest credit union, employs over 9,800 in Escambia County with plans to grow to 10,000 positions by 2026.

  • The University of West Florida in Pensacola, with an enrollment of approximately 13,000 students, offers undergraduate, masters and Doctorate degrees across a wide spectrum of disciplines and specialized training.
  • Pensacola State College enrolls approximately 11,000 students and offers a variety of associate degrees and a select number of baccalaureate degrees.
  • Pensacola Christian College is an accredited private college with average enrollment of  approx. 4,800 students.  PCC offers over 60 undergraduate, graduate and master and doctoral study/degree programs.
