Jackson County is experiencing a new economic development thrust in the county with the formation of a new EDO made up of all municipalities and local businesses and agriculture industry owners. The County BOCC has a willingness to be creative with its incentives to attract qualified businesses that will provide a solid capital investment with above average wages and a good number of jobs. A strong pipeline of workers is created through workforce certification training programs at our local Chipola College and Florida Panhandle Technical College.
