Florida’s Great Northwest Foundation Announces Selection of Inaugural Leadership Northwest Florida Class

NORTHWEST, Fla. – Florida’s Great Northwest (FGNW) Foundation has selected its participants for the inaugural Leadership Northwest Florida class. Eighteen leaders were selected to participate in Class I of the program focused on regional collaboration through community, content and connection.

Class I participants will be immersed in a seven-month educational program and meet other leaders from a variety of backgrounds who represent Northwest Florida’s diverse composition. It will offer participants a holistic view of the conditions, challenges and opportunities that are shared throughout the region focusing on the areas of Business Vitality, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Infrastructure, Talent, and Quality of Place.

“Our mission for Leadership Northwest Florida is to cultivate a pipeline of engaged and empowered leaders through regional collaboration resulting in long-term influence for the betterment of Northwest Florida,” said Jennifer Conoley, President and CEO of Florida’s Great Northwest & FGNW Foundation. “This inaugural class will be an important part of the program’s legacy, and we are thrilled to have such a diverse class for year one.”

Northwest Florida Labor Supply & Demand Research Analysis Year 2 Update

ABLE Operations was tasked with providing Florida’s Great Northwest (FGNW) with research and analysis of the regional labor market. This document is an update to Florida’s Great Northwest Supply & Demand Research Analysis completed in March 2021. In addition to the industries and occupations identified in the previous study, this update will consider the labor market for nursing and cyber security occupations. The update of this study includes additional years of data and adjusted growth forecasts for the region.
