Gulf Coast State College (GCSC) in partnership with Unmanned Safety Institute is now offering a condensed pathway to industry certification for piloting Unmanned Aerials Systems (UAS), by launching the UAS Pilot Boot Camp. This opportunity covers the college tuition and industry certification education and training for individuals living in Bay, Escambia, Franklin, Gulf, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Wakulla Counties, made possible through Triumph Gulf Coast. Priority is also given to active and exiting military members and their spouses. Program completers become certified and qualified as remote pilots of unmanned aerial systems, including visual line of sight and beyond visual line of sight in aircraft greater than 20 pounds. Those who successfully complete the program will receive eight industry certifications and potential career opportunities in areas such as agriculture, civil service, construction, engineering, insurance and real estate.
The next remaining classes this year begin September 28 and November 2. For more information or to register, visit https://www.unmannedsafetyinstitute.org/uas-bootcamp.
